Join Angelic Organics for local organic produce.

(information on other CSA's coming soon)

Hi folks, The reason we are promoting Angelic Organics is simply that many of us in Riverbank Neighbors (Pete and Debbie, Kevin, Jerry, Julie, Bobby, and others) are members and like it. Other CSA's are also good, but we figure, since we like Angelic and the whole way they run the farm and invite us out there, we'd like to invite more neighbors to join. That way, we hope to get a drop-off right here in the neighborhood. I'd also like to split shares, both for people who only want a half a share (or a third a share?) but also because I'd like half a share on Wednesday and half a share on Saturday. That way, our veggies are very very fresh and get eaten right away. Also my fridge will have more room in it. Good idea, right? As the committee's get rolling, people have said that they want to see a comparison of all theCSA's. That would be great. I hope somebody does that! It would make a good article. Julie 10/12/06

2007 Vegetable Shares availale -- $25 early discount available until October 31, 2006
2007 Vegetable Shares
In the beginning of September we officially rolled out sales of our 2007 shares. As in previous years, we offer a substantial discount for early sign-ups - $25 off for signing up by Oct 31 [Plus all 2007 shareholders will receive a free copy of Farmer John's Cookbook--The Real Dirt on Vegetables (see week 17 newsletter)]. Our website is now updated and accepting sign-ups. Visit http://www.angelicorganics.com/share.php

Some useful links:

The 2007 20-week share price is currently $510. ($560 - $50 = $510) This $50 discount is good thru 9/30/06. Then for the month of October, the discount is $25 off of the $560 price, which totals $535. The 2007 winter vegetable shares are $100. The 20-week shares begin in mid-June.

The 10-delivery fruit share (which accompanies the 20-week vegetable share) is $385 now until 10/31/06. Then it goes back to $400. The 6-delivery fruit is $240 (which begins in mid-August), and the winter fruit is an additional $80. The winter fruit share can be added if you sign up for a winter vegetable share, and one the main season fruit shares (the 10-delivery or 6-delivery).

There is also a 12-week vegetable share, which begins in mid-August. They are $370, but there is a $25 discount going on for these until 10/31/06, making the current price $345.

I believe that the credit card option is now current for 2007, so that could be used. However, there is an additional fee for this because it goes through the Local Harvest webpage. Otherwise, please mail payments to the farm at 1547 Rockton Rd., Caledonia, IL 61011. Please include contact info., and what shares are being signing up for, and delivery site choice. Also, you can use the alternative payment plan.

Alternative payment method: If you wish to divide the payment, please write out 2 checks, each covering half of the total. Date one check for the date you are signing up; then post date the 2nd check for any date up until 3 months from the date of your first check. Send both checks immediately upon sign-up. We won’t deposit the 2nd check until its date.

If you have any questions please let me know. I've also attached the currently delivery site list below.

Thanks again,

Shelly
