Peace activities building to the October 27th City-wide March

This is a unique opportunity. Our local school, Waters, and Beyond Today have partnered to moblize for the peace march. See below for information on the ways we'll be preparing for the 27th. These are family friendly-events. Hope to see you there!

Sunday morning Oct 21st 10AM Gather to prepare for the Peace March!
Learn the songs and chants! Coffee, Donuts, flyer pickup, screen printing of anti-war images on signs, t-shirts, patches (to be sewn on other clothing), banner painting, and all the while practicing peace songs for the march.

Tuesday, Oct 23 3pm More of the same like Sunday except afterschool.
Students who want to go to the peace march will need to bring their parent or guardian to the march with them.

Saturday, Oct 27th This is the big day!
We gather at Waters at 12:30, to to Wells Park (Western and Montrose) for a local peace vigil with signs, banners, and music, and take buses to the city-wide march starting at Union Park (Ashland and Randolph) and marching to Fedarl Plaze (Adams and Dearborn)

At least two school buses will be available to take people from Wells Park to Union Park. Others will take public transportation or carpool to Union Park. 1:30/2:00 Gather at Union Park, Ashland Ave. and Lake St. 2:30 March downtown 4:00 Rally at Federal Plaza, Adams and Dearborn
